Privacy policy
Last updated: July 21, 2026
Oréa is a service for keeping one memory a day, in photos and words. Your entries are yours — we store only the minimum information needed.
1. Information we collect
- Entry content — the text you write, the entry's date, and any attached photo.
- Subject information — the name and start date entered during onboarding.
- Device identifier — a random UUID generated the first time you open the app. It's kept in your browser's local storage and is the only thing linking entries to you.
We don't collect your name, email, phone number, or address, and there's no sign-up. We don't access your location, contacts, or other photos on your device. We don't use advertising identifiers and we don't serve ads.
2. Where it's stored
- Photos — stored on Cloudflare R2. Uploads are resized to at most 1600px; the original file isn't kept.
- Text and dates — stored in a Turso (libSQL) database.
- In transit — every connection is encrypted over HTTPS.
3. Third-party processors
- Cloudflare (R2) — photo and video storage
- Turso — text and date storage
- Vercel — hosting
We don't sell any information, and we don't share it with third parties beyond the processors above.
4. Retention and deletion
Entries are kept until you delete them. An individual entry can be deleted from the archive with a long press.
Deleting everything is available from Settings under "Delete all data." Doing so immediately and permanently deletes your saved text, dates, profile information, and photos on Cloudflare R2.
5. Children's information
Oréa is not directed at children. A user may record a child's photos and stories, in which case the adult who wrote the entry is responsible for managing that information. It is handled and can be deleted in exactly the same way as described above.
6. Contact
For questions about how your information is handled, reach us at ssampoto@gmail.com.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, the last-updated date on this page will be revised. We'll note significant changes separately within the app.
